Transmission is an ongoing project that was initially to consolidate notes and sketches from past and present into the same place, as an attempt to visualize threads of ideas and concepts in a more schematic way. The pages are collections of xerox copies and inkjet printed copies of my notebooks, collages, and drawings.
"The world is full of things in which I am still learning to comprehend. To make this process more systematic, I have came up with an interior that in some ways correspond to the external. The interior has lots of stuff. Some are tools, some are conductors, some are mediators, some are just junk. The configuration of the room is easy to change, thus making these materials resonate with each other differently. Some reactions are volatile, some are quite and stable. Some are process of fermentation that requires time, some generate instant energy. In a very simple sense, this way of allocating and aligning interiority help me understand how images and feelings exist, digested, transduced, and transmitted. This has resulted in two insights that are tenuously linked. First of all, in small pieces and at the right scale, the external no longer seen entirely obtuse or illegible. Secondly, the elasticity of coherence can be pushed to an extent that gives me anxiety."
